ENGL 105B:  

Shakespeare: Later Plays

Fall 2007

Meets on: TR 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM GIRV 1004
Prerequisites: Writing 2, 50, or 109; English 10; or upper-division standing  
Satisfies a GE area G and a Writing requirement
Can be used for the Early Modern specialization. If this course is used to fulfill the Shakespeare requirement for English major, it cannot also be used as an upper-division English elective.

Course Description:
In this course we will study six plays from the second half of Shakespeare’s career: Othello, Antony & Cleopatra, Macbeth, KingLear, The Winter’s Tale, and The Tempest. Requirements: careful reading, regular attendance, active participation, two analytical papers, a midterm exam, and a final exam.
