English 10 will be taught in 2009-10 as a large lecture with required sections, and will be offered F, W, and S. It is required preparation for the English major and is an alternative to Writing Program 50 and 109 for fulfilling the second part of the Area A Requirement for Letters and Science students.

All students should come to the first lecture on Thursday, September 24. At that time, Professor Pasternack will collect information from students wishing to add the course and from students who need to change their section time. She will also introduce the requirements and content of the course, as well as the online resources. If a student is not able to come for any reason, s/he should e-mail Professor Pasternack at cpaster@english.ucsb.edu.

Also plan to attend your first section meeting, even if it is Thursday morning before the first lecture or if you hope to change it. If you cannot attend, e-mail your TA. Thursday morning's sections are being taught by Paul Megna paulmegna@umail.ucsb.edu.
