History of Books and Material Texts RFG Research Sharing |
|
10/29/2009 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
|
This year the History of Books and Material Texts RFG is planning a series of research-sharing events at which faculty and graduate students may informally present works-in-progress or past research and enjoy the
benefit of collegial feedback and discussion.
We invite presentations pertaining to any culture or time period, and relevant to all aspects of book history, manuscript, history of print or typography, illustration, book arts, and the circulation, production, archiving, or preservation of texts.
The first research share will be held on October 29, 3:30-5:00pm, in Special Collections on the 3rd floor of Davidson Library. We have two presentations scheduled for that event: Dorota Dutch (professor in Classics) will discuss her work on a 9th century Carolingian manuscript
that was copied from a 5th century original, and Theresa Russ (graduate student in English) will present work on John Dryden and Jacob Tonson's
1697 edition of The Works of Virgil. |
