Forum Response Guidelines

Argument
Your argument should show original thought and should be at least one longish paragraph. It should show engagement with the themes and topics discussed in class or should address some area of interest that was neglected in class. Properly cited quotations are always a plus. Don’t just rehash the class itself. And, as always make an observation, assert a hypothesis, and offer significance. Try to end with an assertion that can be challenged or a direct question.

Response
Responses should be at least a paragraph and should either disagree with the posted argument and present a counter argument, or agree and offer elaboration. Again, quotations are always more than welcome.

Posting Discipline
Arguments should be posted within 24 hours of the assigned class (by 5:00 the next day) and responses must be up by 12:00 the day of the next class.

Please post your argument directly to the forum by clicking on the little pencil on the forum info page (you must be logged in and a member of the forum to do this)

Responses should be posted just that way by clicking on the link under the argument.

While there are people assigned to argue and respond each day, everyone is welcome to participate for course credit.
