Categories and Keywords: In adding resources to the Linkbase, the developers often insert a concept, title, or name (e.g., "Literature," "Tracks," "Louise Erdrich") and tribal identification (e.g., "Chippewa") in a keyword field to organize links under particular categories. This is especially helpful for links that bear on conceptual categories not explicitly mentioned in the link's title or descriptive annotation.

Keywords Relating the Linkbase to the Timeline database The developers often repeat the categories above as well as add other keywords in this field to create a "relation" between the Linkbase and its associated Timeline database. This allows the Timeline to "look up" online resources in the Linkbase and include them in its search results as live links.
