Maite Urcaregui studies twentieth century American culture and literature through an inter-/transdisciplinary perspective that draws from cultural studies, gender and sexuality studies, and critical race studies. Her research explores the relationship among form, aesthetics, and agency as well as the possibilities for activism and resistance within popular culture, focusing specifically on genre fiction, zines, and comics.
