How, exactly, do we understand “globalization” and “America” in relation to one another? How have U.S. sentiments regarding globalization shifted over the 20th century? Moving through a variety of literary genres (including poetry, short stories, and graphic/novels), and staying within the borders of the 20th and 21st centuries, we will explore the contours and representations of globalization and the sometimes violent confrontations that are un/justly linked to global and imperial designs.
