- Quarter: Fall 2025
Centering literature and art, this course explores the creative imagination of racial justice, employing transnational and intersectional frameworks that bridge ethnic studies and postcolonial and decolonial critique. How do writers and artists generate common social agendas out of different histories, identifications, and investments? What can we learn from language that sharpens justice-oriented thought and praxis? Readings will cohere around particular genres or, alternatively, take a thematic multi-genre approach. We will employ critical creative methodologies, with a view to imagine social transformation and build paths toward global solidarities.
