Maria Job is pursuing her PhD in English at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She holds an MA in Literature, Culture and Theory from the University of Sussex, UK and a BA in English from Women’s Christian College, Chennai affiliated with the University of Madras, India. She is broadly interested in the ‘bio-techno-political’ intersections between plants and commodity culture in literature and new media post 1945. She hopes to contribute to the fields of environmental humanities, science and technology studies, and digital media studies through her examination of post 45 global pesticide media. She welcomes proposals for creative/critical and/or pedagogy-oriented collaborative projects.
