Raychawdhuri, Anita

Anita Raychawdhuri is primarily interested in Early Modern drama and poetry, particularly how it intersects with gender, politics, and desire. She is interested in how gender and desire may inform political voice and how that might interact with contemporary constructions of power and sexuality. Alongside this, she is invested in examining status in the Renaissance, particularly how it interacts with ephemera and other "low" forms of culture. She is interested in exploring these writers and topics through materialism, eco-criticism, and gender and sexuality studies.
